Britain’s Fattest Teenager Loses near 300 Pounds
The youngest person to ever have gastric bypass was Britain’s teenage, Malissa Jones. At age 16 she ate 15,000 calories per day and at her age it is recommended to only eat 2,000!!! Instead of buying herself her favorite candybars she should have been considering a folding treadmill!! The article stated, “She was so hooked on eating she’d even raid the freezer in the middle of the night and gobble down partially-thawed raw burgers.”
After reading the article Malissa said that she ate her emotions because of all the family trauma going on in her life. Although there were risks for someone as young as her to receive a gastric bypass she decided that she would have died without it either way.
Worlds Fattest Man Married
The world’s fattest man got who got married last year in October had lost an amazingly over 500 lbs. Except he didn’t lose the weight with the typical fitness equipment. He had to stay on a strict diet, although he did lose a massive amount of weight he is still confined to his bed.
Now I don’t know the background of how this individual got to be so big, but from what have seen on the television about him is he LIKES/LIKED to eat ALOT. I would feel bad for someone who has a disease that adds weight without control but for someone who just can’t control their eating habits it’s hard to be sympathetic.
Don’t Have time to Exercise
Why don’t we exercise? Is it because:
- Initially it’s boring
- There are no consequences when we don’t exercise
- Waiting till we have nothing else to do
- There are better things to do
- It’s causes you to be sore
Whatever the reason maybe grab your treadmill, a bottle of water and a pair of headphones it will take your mind off work, and anything else that makes your day stressful!
Are there any exercise help one lose weight?
I know I’m probably just getting paranoid but it seems like the only way I lose weight is when I cut down on eating all together. This week I lose three pounds and every morning I had a cup of coffee and an apple. For lunch I had some kind of chicken and/or salad. As for dinner I didn’t eat at all because of having lunch so late. I didn’t get around to using my elliptical trainer this week because I either didn’t get home from work until late or my sister had a basketball game that don’t get over until 9 pm. Are there any good exercises to lose weight that I don’t have to starve myself??

Learning is Healthy
Many of us look passed what is “healthy” and go straight to the importance of exercising. Exercise alone is good, but exercising your brain is also important…especially at a young age. When children are young they are full of questions and curious about everything. I recently purchased a gift for my friend’s little girl called the, “Twilight Turtle.” The twilight turltle is a constellation night light that actually reflects a real starry night’s sky in your child’s bedroom.

She will be able to learn about endangered animals and which constellations are what…if you are looking for a gift or an educational toy that won’t be thrown into a closet within days or doesn’t have a million pieces you should also check out other constellation night lights.
Interesting Health Facts
I found some really interesting health facts, here are few:
- The average adult has 1 billion brain cells. We lose 85,000 of these every day. If all our brain cells were laid end-to-end, it would be 200 million miles long.
- A person will die from total lack of sleep sooner than from a lack of food. Death will occur after about 10 days without sleep, while starvation takes a few weeks.
- 61% of Americans wear corrective lenses to improve their vision. More than 2 million Americans underwent laser vision correction procedures last year.

Diet Pills are Bad – CEO Goes To Jail
Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals President and CEO, Jared Wheat was sentenced 50 months in prision for illegally selling knock-off prescription drugs over the Internet. Not only is he facing jail and fines, but him and his business companions were demanded to foreit over $3 million from the proceeds of the illegal business transactions.
In the article the drugs that were being sold illegally were generic versions of: Xanax, Valium, Ambien, Vioxx, Zoloft, Viagra and Cialis. I can’t believe that there are people that will actually buy pills that normally need a prescription from a licensed doctor over the Internet! Personally, I think that is insane to trust someone online with medicine.

Stretching Exercises
My sister is a high school sophomore who is involved in 3-sports (cross-country, basketball & track). She recently purchased a stretching machine that she uses before and after any strenuous activity. In the past month of trying the product out she has noticed an increase in her flexibility and stride when running across the basketball court. Before , stretching use to be a hassle, now stretching exercises take a matter of minutes and are easy to do (she actually is feeling a difference in a short amount of time).
Stretching is extremely important, especially when one starts physical activity. Not stretching can cause muscle aches & pain and future exercising uncomfortable (we’ve all been there).
Celebrities and Weight
Nowadays image means a lot, whether to yourself, your surroundings, etc. Everyone wants to be “in shape.” How far is to far? People.com photographed celebrities that are “too thin.” But these days who knows what too thin is. Last week we were all hearing about Jessica Simpson wearing the mom jeans up to her neck and she’s a size 8. Who really cares what size Jessica Simpson is, I can tell you that my day will still go on if I don’t know what size pants a celebrity is. We all want an exercise to lose weight or “magic” equipment to get us there.
Being a woman it seems like women get more issues than men when dealing with weight? Is it because it’s more noticeable? or maybe it’s because we (women) make it more of an issue to the public? It’s evident in the Jessica Simpson fiasco that magazines pull her apart for the slightest little thing just to make a buck. And to be honest, Yes, celebrity gossip is addicting.
